About Gaia University: Action Learning for Eco-Social Regeneration
Gaia University is a growing international institution for higher learning rooted in the permaculture principles and ethics offering accredited degree programs for real-world action in self and planetary transformation. These programs cultivate world changers working for local and global sustainability, justice, and peace. Students or "associates" have access to a supportive global network of leaders, advisors and peers offering support and guidance in the development, implementation and documentation of their self-directed project work.
Gaia University began operating in May of 2006 and launched its first Regional Center at Lebensgarten Ecovillage in Germany supported by Prof. Declan Kennedy - Chairman of the Gaia University Advisory Board, which is offering masters degree programs in Sustainable Money Design and Peace Management. Gaia University is now offering courses on 4 continents with forming Regional Centers in the UK, Chile, Brazil, Nepal, in the United States on the East Coast, Tennessee, and on the West Coast in N. California and Ashland, Oregon.
Through its upcoming GEL site (Gaia u E-Learning) Gaia U will be taking leadership in the networking of people and projects world-wide through online courses and effective dialogue and exchange.

Special Guest Biographies
Andy Langford and Liora Adler have spent the last 35 years working to create projects and tools to address the personal, social, and global transformation of our times.
Andy brought Permaculture to the UK in 1986 and initiated the Permaculture Association of Britain, as well as the Permaculture Diploma WorkNet upon which the design of Gaia University is based. He has been active in the European permaculture and ecovillage networks, is a member of the European Permaculture Council and has served on the European Council of the Global Ecovillage Network.
Liora has focused on the human architecture underlying ecovillages and other social change groups. She has shared her experience and knowledge in 30 countries, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Ecovillage Network, its representative to the UN, and as a co-founder of two ecovillage projects in Latin America, Huehuecoyotl Ecovillage in Mexico and La Caravana Arcoiris por la Paz, a mobile project, now in its 12th year, and in Brazil.
