Re: Did you guys see the cougar in the tree behind Stillwater yesterday?
Sun, February 8, 2009 - 12:41 PMIts nice to see the cougar treated like street people are here.
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE. It ashames me to be an Ashlander right now.
"couldn't find a dart" = didn't look very hard. If you can be hasseled for where you walk your dog, you sure as hell should go the effort to get a tranquilizer dart. Hell, a kids super soaker, with a cup of ammonia in it, would certainly guarantee that animal would not return - i've tried and know. And it was lovely to base the decision to kill on someones 'idear' that it " may" do something in the future.
On the other hand, i guess the police proved that indeed, cougars are in these hill. That hide should be preserved, an example and reminder about cruelty. It surprises me that the ordinarily helpful and nice police here would do this. Has the police publically voiced any regret over the loss of this life?

Mon, February 9, 2009 - 7:32 PMAnd very disheartening. Wouldn't have thought this kind of thing would happen in Ashland.
